Dr. Huffman grew up in Columbia, SC before attending Yale University. He returned to Columbia for medical school at the University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a general cardiology fellowship at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at New York University. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Vascular Interpretation. He currently serves as the American Heart Association South Carolina Midlands Board President. He has been in clinical practice as an Interventional Cardiologist in Columbia since 2016. In the heart catheterization laboratory, he performs diagnostic cardiac catheterizations to diagnose coronary artery disease and puts stents into narrowed coronary arteries and peripheral arteries. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Yankey grew up in Accra, Ghana, before moving to Cleveland, OH, after high school. He earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Case Western Reserve University. Following medical school, he moved to North Carolina, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency, General Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University. He then further specialized with a Structural Cardiology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and General Cardiology, Dr. Yankey is also board-eligible in Interventional Cardiology. He performs cardiac catheterizations to diagnose and treat coronary artery disease and specializes in minimally invasive heart valve replacement and repair procedures, including TAVR and Mitraclip. Additionally, Dr. Yankey performs other structural heart procedures such as Watchman and ASD/PFO closures. His clinical interests focus on coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and structural heart disease.

Dr. Bill Phillips is the Chief Medical Officer for MUSC Health Midlands Division Columbia Medical Center Downtown/Northeast and Associate ICCE Chief for Heart \& Vascular Network Development. Prior to the acquisition by MUSC, he served as the President of Providence Heart and Vascular Institute at Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC. Dr Phillips practices both general and interventional cardiology. In his role as President, he served as the physician leader for the quality, patient safety, and clinical functions of the Heart and Vascular Institute with the primary responsibility in this role of driving the clinical and operational improvement of cardiovascular services for the hospital. Dr. Phillips previously served on the national Cardiovascular Physician Guidance Council for LifePoint Health, Brentwood, TN. Prior to joining Providence Hospital, he practiced at Columbia Heart Clinic for 14 years and served as the president of the practice the last four years of his tenure. During that time, he also served as the Chief of Cardiology at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. Dr. Phillips is a native of Hampton, SC and earned his BS in biology with honors at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended The Citadel on a football scholarship and was inducted into the National Football Foundation \& College Hall of Fame as a Scholar-Athlete his senior year. He received his medical degree from the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine in Columbia, SC graduating magna cum laude and received the distinguished Dean's Award. He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. While there he completed fellowships in both cardiology and interventional cardiology and served as Chief Cardiology Fellow for two years. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. In addition to interventional cardiology, Dr. Phillips also performs Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Dr. Phillips is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. He also currently serves as a member of the USC School of Medicine Alumni Board and as the physician at large for the South Carolina State Athletic Commission. He recently was named to the Columbia Metropolitan Premier Physicians for Interventional Cardiology. Dr Phillips has also published peer reviewed research in the field of vascular biology and participated in numerous clinical research trials in the field of cardiology during his career.

Dr. Katrina Bidwell is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in interventional and structural cardiology. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, she earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Bidwell completed her fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she then spent an additional year training in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Bidwell has participated in scientific research in cardiology since medical school, has authored numerous publications in the field, and has presented at conferences on many occasions. After completing her training, Dr. Bidwell was delighted to accept a position to join the Heart and Vascular group at MUSC Columbia Medical Center Downtown. South Carolina is a beautiful state, Columbia is a vibrant city, and Dr. Bidwell is proud to make this her home and serve the people of the Midlands. Dr. Bidwell treats patients across the cardiovascular disease spectrum: in addition to general cardiology, her special interests are in the treatment of coronary disease, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and left atrial appendage closure (Watchman), among others. Dr. Bidwell is incredibly passionate about partnering with her patients to ensure they understand their options and make educated treatment choices.

Dr. Brandon E. Brown is a general and interventional cardiologist with MUSC Health Heart \& Vascular. A graduate of Wofford College, he earned his medical degree at The University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. His internal medicine residency was completed at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, and he completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine at the Gill Heart Institute at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Brown completed an additional year of fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Brown has 15 years experience in cardiovascular care, with special interest in management of coronary artery disease, complex coronary intervention, and preventive cardiology. He has extensive clinical research experience and places a high priority on practicing evidence based medicine. Dr. Brown is a member of the American College of Cardiology and board certified in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. When not in the office, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, playing golf and participating in CrossFit.

Dr. Andrew Francis Wells is an interventional cardiologist practicing in Columbia, South Carolina, affiliated with MUSC Health. He completed his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2017, followed by an internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Wells further advanced his expertise with fellowships in cardiovascular disease (2023) and interventional cardiology (2024) at the same institution. He specializes in diagnosing and treating complex heart conditions, including coronary artery disease and arrhythmias, utilizing advanced procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement. Dr. Wells is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, licensed to practice in South Carolina, and is a member of professional organizations like the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Loren Garrison Morgan is an interventional cardiologist and internal medicine physician based in Columbia, South Carolina. He practices at 1655 Bernardin Avenue, Suite 220, and is affiliated with MUSC Health and MUSC Community Physicians. Dr. Morgan earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2010 and holds South Carolina medical license MD32633. His specialties include interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart conditions such as heart attacks, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. He is also trained in long-term, comprehensive care for adolescents, adults, and the elderly, addressing a wide range of medical issues. Dr. Morgan has received recognition for his compassionate care and dedication to patient well-being.

Dr. Joshua "Bear" Coney is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and has trained at highly respected institutions, including Baylor University Medical Center and Loma Linda University, to obtain his post-doctoral certifications. After completing an Invasive Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, he was invited to serve as section leader of Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation Medicine at the Tidelands Health hospital system in Myrtle Beach, where he established their Heart Failure Clinic. He served our country as a reserve officer of the United States Navy, completing his service at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Dr. Coney has been invited to present research and case reports at international conferences. Throughout his training, he has been awarded for teaching both medical students and residents. He brings an extensive background in providing care for underprivileged populations. He intends to extend the ground-breaking therapies in advanced heart failure and heart transplant medicine at MUSC Charleston to Columbia, SC.

Robin Traufler, MSN, APRN, NP‑C, is a board‑certified nurse practitioner with nearly 30 years of experience in advanced clinical care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 1996 and has built a career supporting patients with complex, chronic medical conditions across multiple specialties. Robin's clinical background spans more than a decade in cardiology, a decade in nephrology, and 10 years focused on advanced heart failure. This range of experience has given her a strong understanding of how cardiovascular and renal systems intersect and how important it is to deliver care that considers the whole person. She is known for combining evidence‑based practice with compassionate, attentive communication. Robin prioritizes patient education and works to ensure individuals feel informed, supported, and confident in understanding and managing their health. She values taking the time to listen, answer questions, and make complex medical information accessible. Robin is committed to promoting long‑term wellness, prevention, and improved quality of life for the patients and families she serves. Guided by a patient‑centered philosophy grounded in safety, integrity, and trust, she considers it a privilege to partner with individuals as they navigate their health journeys.

Born and raised on a cattle farm in South Carolina, Rosetta Talbert, NP, learned early the values of hard work, responsibility, and community-qualities that continue to guide patient care today. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston, she completed both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing at South University, graduating with honors. Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Rosetta holds active licensure in South Carolina and Georgia. With more than a decade of experience in cardiovascular care, she began as a registered nurse in a cardiovascular intermediate and critical care unit and has served since 2019 as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, providing comprehensive inpatient care, from admissions and diagnostic testing to discharge planning and follow-up coordination. Rosetta is passionate about building lasting relationships with patients, making complex medical information clear, and supporting patients through every stage of their care. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, needlepoint, and spending time outdoors, valuing balance and overall well-being.

Dr. Faisal A. Tamimi, M.D., is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with extensive training in Cardiovascular disease, Interventional cardiology, and Structural heart disease and interventions. He earned his MBBS/MD degree with Honors from College of Medicine, King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he grew up. He then completed a research fellowship in Pulmonary Hypertension at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts after which he joined Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA for his internship and Internal Medicine residency. He then joined Mount Sinai Heart for his General Cardiology Fellowship and later Mount Sinai Heart, Morningside in New York City for his Interventional Cardiology training, where he also served as Chief Interventional Fellow. To further advance his expertise, he completed additional specialized training in Structural Heart Disease and Interventions at the University of California, San Francisco. His passion and advanced clinical experience include complex coronary interventions and cutting-edge structural procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Mitral and Tricuspid Valve interventions, and PFO/ASD closures. He has contributed to numerous publications and presentations on topics in the field of Interventional Cardiology and valvular heart disease. He is fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Tamimi enjoys running, swimming, and tennis, and is dedicated to global health initiatives including volunteer work in refugee camps and treatment of heart disease in marginalized communities.

Dr. McCann is a Heart Failure Cardiologist emphasizing a comprehensive therapeutic methodology to heart failure. After graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Dr. McCann completed internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University. He was invited to serve as Chief Resident providing patient care and instructing residents and medical students. He remained at Saint Louis University for his general cardiology fellowship. Subsequently, he completed his advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at University of California in San Diego. Dr. McCann then served as the medical director of heart failure, cardiac intensive care unit and left ventricular assist device programs at PRISMA Health. He established the first heart failure accountable care unit in South Carolina. He also developed one of the largest pulmonary artery pressure monitoring programs in the nation as a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina. Additionally, he served over 20 years in the Air National Guard where he was the lead flight surgeon for the Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) at McEntire Joint National Guard Base. Dr. McCann is an internationally recognized clinical researcher. He participates on several scientific advisory boards and clinical trial steering committees. He has a keen interest in remote management to help improve access to care and proactively care for his patients. Dr. McCann believes each patient with heart failure is unique and providing optimal care requires a tailored, multidisciplinary approach.

Elise Godly is a dedicated nursing professional currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from USC in 2018 and has since gained extensive clinical experience across various critical care settings. Elise currently works as a Critical Care Nurse Educator at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she trains and mentors approximately 100 nurses annually. She focuses on best practices within the ICU, IICU, and PCU and plays an integral role in educating new nurses on protocols, devices, and procedures. Prior to her educator role, Elise served as a Staff Nurse in the ICU at MUSC, providing critical care for patients with conditions such as septic shock, respiratory failure, and post-surgery recovery. Additionally, Elise has experience in the Cardiovascular ICU at Palmetto Health Richland, where she cared for post-op heart surgery patients and managed complex cardiovascular conditions. Beyond her clinical work, Elise demonstrates strong leadership skills. She has held roles such as Charge Nurse and has been involved in various committees, including the ICU leadership team, Code Blue Committee, and Rapid Response Team, where she contributes to policy development and continuous improvement in patient care. Elise is passionate about nursing education and patient safety, and her commitment to excellence has earned her the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence.

Princilla Roberts is a certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in interventional cardiology. Princilla received her bachelor's in Nursing at South University. She then obtained her master's degree in nursing, graduating with honors, from South University in Columbia, South Carolina. Princilla is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in South Carolina. Princilla works directly with Dr. Loren Garrison Morgan in Interventional Cardiology and is involved in the entire continuum of care of Dr. Morgan's patients. The primary focus of interest is preventive medicine and chronic disease management as it relates to cardiology. This is her passion as she has over 13 years of experience in the medical field working in critical care for both pediatrics and adults. Her other areas of interest are providing healthcare and healthcare education to rural patient populations. Princilla enjoys volunteering for medical mission trips. She believes in going above and beyond for every patient providing compassionate and unique care as her priority. Together as a team, she will collaborate to develop a treatment plan that will be just as unique as her patients in order to provide the best outcome possible. In her free time, Princilla enjoys learning about different cultures, cooking, traveling, boating, and motorcycle riding.

Angela Grant is a nurse practitioner who specializes in cardiology at MUSC Health Heart and Vascular in Columbia, SC. Angela graduated from Aultman College of Nursing in Canton, Ohio in 2009. She then began her career in the cardiac care unit, caring for patients in the cardiac ICU and stepdown. Furthering her career, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Angela is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). Prior to nursing, Angela served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. There she met her husband and together they have two boys. She loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Dr. Francis E. Ugowe is a skilled cardiologist specializing in cardiac electrophysiology, with over eight years of experience in internal medicine and cardiovascular care. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2016 and completed his internal medicine residency at Duke University Hospital. Currently, Dr. Ugowe practices at MUSC Health Heart \& Vascular in Columbia, South Carolina, where he focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. He is affiliated with MUSC Community Physicians and is licensed to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina. Dr. Ugowe has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications, contributing to research on racial disparities in atrial fibrillation management and outcomes. Rebecca Napier, M.D., is a highly experienced cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology in Columbia, South Carolina.
