Dr. Yankey grew up in Accra, Ghana, before moving to Cleveland, OH, after high school. He earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
Following medical school, he moved to North Carolina, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency, General Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University. He then further specialized with a Structural Cardiology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and General Cardiology, Dr. Yankey is also board-eligible in Interventional Cardiology. He performs cardiac catheterizations to diagnose and treat coronary artery disease and specializes in minimally invasive heart valve replacement and repair procedures, including TAVR and Mitraclip. Additionally, Dr. Yankey performs other structural heart procedures such as Watchman and ASD/PFO closures.
His clinical interests focus on coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and structural heart disease.
