Dr. Duaa Alkhader, M.D., is a dedicated internal medicine physician with a robust background in clinical practice, academic research, and patient care. Upon graduating from Jordan University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Alkhader distinguished herself as a top performer, earning a spot on the Honor List for three consecutive years and graduating in the top 10% of her class. Following her graduation, Dr. Alkhader began her medical career with an internal medicine residency at Jordan University Hospital, where she honed her clinical skills and developed a deep commitment to patient care and medical education. Her residency at JUH laid a strong foundation in internal medicine, which is marked by her professionalism, leadership, and dedication to evidence-based practice. In 2019, Dr. Alkhader relocated to the United States to further her medical career and joined the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). At MUSC, she undertook another internal medicine residency. While at MUSC, she actively engaged in academic research, particularly in transplant nephrology, and pursued advanced training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Dr. Alkhader's professional credentials include ECFMG certification, ACLS certification by the American Heart Association, and American College of Physicians membership. Dr. Joseph James Pierce, III, M.D., brings a wealth of expertise in internal medicine, primary care, and geriatric health, underscored by his extensive training and professional experience. He is a board-certified internal medicine physician with additional certifications as a medical review officer from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). Dr. Pierce completed his Residency and Internship in Internal Medicine at Keesler Medical Center, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and specialization. Throughout his career, Dr. Pierce has continually pursued further education and specialization, including post-graduate training in diabetes management and emergency room medicine and obtaining certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Pierce has served in various clinical and leadership roles across multiple health care settings. Notably, he has held positions such as Medical Director at Physicians Eldercare in Charlotte, NC, and as an Internist at prestigious institutions like Tenet Health in Richburg, SC, and Emerald Physicians in Hyannis, MA. His dedication to providing quality care extends to his tenure as Chief of Internal Medicine at various military bases, including Hoard AFB in Panama and Incirlik AB in Adana, Turkey.
