Dr. Pearson completed her medical degree and a residency in general surgery at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. During her residency she was awarded TGH Resident of the Month by the TGH nursing staff. Dr. Pearson went on to complete a fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at Tampa General Medical Group where she gained extensive surgical experience. She is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Pearson has been involved in research activities including complications of renal transplantation and innovations in dialysis access, presenting her research at national conferences.

Again, the above applied to Dr. Pearson, as she was the one that examined and treated me at the visit., Dr. Pearson was the surgeon who initially performed the fistula procedure, which was complicated due to the and deepness and distance between the artery and vein being used. She was able to avoid having to use an alternative measure. The recent surgical revision that saved my fistula started with an office visit where she evaluation the issues and confirmed potential options. Based upon our discussion, and potential risks of doing nothing, I was confident in proceeding with the required repairs.
