Timothy S. Shaver, M.D.

Timothy Shaver, MD, is a dedicated and experienced primary care physician with a strong background in family medicine. He has been providing comprehensive outpatient care for over two decades, serving diverse patient populations.





Currently practicing at MUSC Health Primary Care-St. Matthews, Dr. Shaver believes that effective family medicine goes beyond treating illness-it involves listening carefully, fostering trust, and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health. He is dedicated to providing care that addresses both immediate medical needs and long-term wellness goals, always with a focus on respect, communication, and collaboration.





Dr. Shaver completed his residency in family medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, and a noncategorical preliminary surgery internship at the University of Virginia Health System. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science from the South Carolina Honors College.
