Zeeshan Azeem, M.D.

Dr. Zeeshan Azeem is a highly skilled and dedicated medical professional with a comprehensive nephrology and internal medicine background. He completed his Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before this, he pursued a Nephrology Fellowship at MU Healthcare, University of Missouri.





With a solid foundation in internal medicine, Dr. Azeem embarked on his medical journey at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, where he completed his internal medicine residency and internships at prestigious institutions such as Services Hospital and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr. Azeem has held various positions throughout his career, including Nephrology - Transplant Nephrology Physician at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, further enriching his clinical expertise.





Dr. Azeem's academic achievements include obtaining certifications from esteemed institutions such as the Fellowship College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the UK( I-II), and ECFMG certification. He is also actively involved in research, contributing to projects focusing on kidney transplantation outcomes and renal care protocols. He also contributed two book chapters on "Plasmapheresis" and "Renal replacement therapy" in a book on Neurocritical care protocols recently published by Springer group.





Recognized for his excellence in medical practice, Dr. Azeem has received numerous awards, including the Best Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at King Edward Medical University and merit scholarships during his academic tenure. He is a member of prestigious medical societies such as the American Society of Nephrology( ASN) and American Society of Transplantation( AST).





Beyond medicine, Dr. Azeem is proficient in various languages and possesses diverse interests, including traveling, reading, calligraphy, learning about space and sports such as cricket and table tennis.
