Very patient

Dr Chen was outstanding, explained her initial observations and thoughts, thoroughly discussed tests she was ordering, why, options of where to get them done and how results would need to come to her since I don't live in Tampa. Asked me what bothered me most of my symptoms and ended appt with did I have any other questions. I almost cried, she trusted me to share all that, never had such informative appointment with dr over this past year of trying to get to a diagnosis. Very , very grateful for her! And USF.

She lacked compassion and understanding. She was more hung up on why we left our provider (Orlando Health) to see her. She didn't understand the urgency that all the specialists had given us to get an EMG done ASAP. We forwarded all relevant medical records prior to our visit (and I brought printouts), but she kept saying she didn't have them (that's an issue with her staff, not us). She refused to let us ask questions or have anyone else from the family be in the room. We were desperate for this appointment, drove two hours from Orlando, and she couldn't understand that. Arriving late and without reviewing any past medical records shows a lack of compassion.

My questions that were asked were shut down by the doctor with her comments such as "you are not listening to what I say"

I can't say enough about everyone at USF Health. I have told my family and friends bought the wonderful doctors. They are at USF Health. I have always received a wonderful experience!

Saw Dr Chen. She's brilliant sometimes talks over my head and I'm a nurse but she answers every question or concern I have.

Dr Chen is very caring and concerned about overall wellness.

Was so glad for her help and the help of my perosnal care person when standing up from the wheelchair for a test. Neuropathy and deformed right ankle and knee made standing. Challenging

Dr. Chen was great. She explained everything in appropriate language that was easy to understand.

She evidently didn't see the mistake that was made concerning which doctor I was supposed to see and said she was scheduled to do the same and couldn't help me

Dr. Chen clearly explained ALS and Lou Gehrig's disease and made sure the Patient heard her and acknowledged that she was active listening. Our whole family is thankful for Dr. Chen and the ALS Neuro Facilities.

Dr. Chen showed more concern for my condition than any other medical professional in the last 18 months.
