Dr Ellis did not listen to my concern, spoke over me and dismissed my questions. She began with saying she had reviewed my chart and the multiple messages between care providers and my "oxycodone" pain medication. My wife and I both responded in surprise because I am not taking any narcotics and have not been prescribed any narcotics. We had to repeatedly tell her that I was only taking advil, ice and volatren gel for my foot pain. She said "well its not an emergency just wait for the MRI of the foot and see the orthopedic". My wife said, we understand and will f/u with the orthopedic but our concern is that the pain and swelling has migrated from foot to the knee on one leg and now has gone to the left leg and we are concerned since I have an autoimmune disorder. Dr. Ellis at this point did not answer us, turned around but left the room. The appointment was over, the nurse bought in paper work. The entire interaction seemed like she did not have any inclination to provide care to me. Her attitude and mannerism were not of a concerned physician but as If I was an irritation to her schedule. This was the worst office visit in my 15 years using TGH/USF services. I want a refund back for wasting my time.

This was our first visit with Dr. Sandra Ellis, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. My mom tested positive for COVID at home and had been dealing with a severe cough, so we brought her in to be evaluated. When the doctor came into the room, she didn't ask about my mom's symptoms, how she was feeling, or when her symptoms started. She simply listened to her lungs and told us that medication had already been sent to the pharmacy. I immediately explained that we did not want Paxlovid because my mom had a very serious reaction to it last year that resulted in a hospital visit. It felt like the doctor had assumed the only reason we came in was to get Paxlovid, without taking the time to understand my mom's condition or concerns. I also specifically asked if she could prescribe something to help with my mom's cough, since that was one of her main symptoms. Before we left, the medical assistant handed us the discharge paperwork, and it still listed Paxlovid as the prescribed medication. The medical assistant had to go back and ask the doctor to correct it. I understand that COVID may not be treated as urgently as it was a few years ago, but every patient still deserves to be asked about their symptoms and receive individualized care. We left feeling rushed, unheard, and disappointed with the overall experience.

This was never experienced at this time. The dr did not do an exam or anything. She did not address any of my issues I went there for.

She's been my doctor for the last 5 years and I always say that I want to change her because I find her insensitive and she seems to talk to me as if I don't know what I'm talking about and makes me feel as if she's talking to me as if I'm a child. She will talk to me and answer my questions where she makes me feel like she's dumbing me down. Only reason I haven't changed is because I just don't feel like trying to find a new doctor. The location is convenient and nurses are kind.

This was one kf the worst appointment I have gone to. i was treated with such shame that i have not been to the DRs in quite some time. i am teying to get my health back on track and to come into an appointment and be treated, this way is a shame for TGH. i was questioned multiple times as to why i haven't been to the DRs in a long time. With every answer u gave Dr Ellis would always come back with something else i need to be doung better. I pointed out multiple places of concerns i had on my body to her and it felt like she didn't care about them and only sent ultrasounds for certain parts but not the one i was concered about. overall this was one of the worst experiences i had in a Drs office for TGH and i will not be returning to see this Dr ever again.

The Dr. was in the room for 4 mins and most of it was her on the computer putting in notes. I told her what I was experiencing she nodded her head and didn't even tell me what she thought was wrong with me. Just that shes sending medicine to the pharmacy. I would never go back to see her again.

The provider who I saw, I will never be seeing again nor recommending for the sheer fact that she showed little to no regard for my condition to which I was at the medical facility in the first place. She talked down to me and looked at me like I was unintelligent. I walked away and went to my car after the appointment and cried out of frustration because it bothered me that I took off work, have to pay for the visit, and was there seeking the advice of a medical professional for my issue, and she didn't take it serious nor really check me and my current condition out at all, rather relied on historical data to tell my story for her. I'm glad this survey came to my email because I was super dissapointed in this provider during my visit and I didn't know how/ where to share my experience until now.

Was very happy the doctor was OK with trying to change my lifestyle versus a prescription. Would rather try to change my lifestyle then be put on another prescription.

As a first visit establishing care, since my years of coming here (almost a decade) meant nothing since I didn't come last year, her manner was unfriendly. I mentioned I had some health concerns which is why I kept the appointment to establish care and then reschedule an annual, but she ignored me and moved on to asking me if I saw a dentist this year. I understand rooms are being recorded now, and for billing purposes I have to clearly say I'm there for preventative/annual exam, but no kindness was expressed.

If the doctor is delayed, an assistant should notify patients about that.

Very good discussion with Dr. Ellis. I expressed the need to get my perceptions renewed after losing my original care provider.

Semi-annual check-up. Spoke to me like I was an eight year old, or that I had just discovered I had diabetes. Talked over me and I felt like I wasn't heard.

The care provider explained my medical concerns in away that I understood.

The response to almost every concern I brought up was to contact a specialist. No discussion regarding chronic issues I have. I don't feel like I was really listened to and that the doctor was just checking boxes.

Sandra Ellis should no longer be a provided. Shamed me for various reasons, left me feeling extremely upset.

Started our visit off very rude. She asked me what brought me in, I started out speaking she cut me off and stated that our visit is only to establish. To establish you have to get patient medical history to understand.

Dr. Ellis is a great doctor, very easy to talk to and she listens compassionately. I feel very comfortable talking to Dr. Ellis about my concerns for which I am confident that I receive the best advice.

I don't have a good rapport with Dr Ellis as I have had with previous Dr. I can't explain it. She seems kind and caring, but everything is a referral to another provider. Maybe that's just how your system works. Maybe I am asking for too much.
