Lee White, MD, PhD, is a urologist. He has a special clinical interest in general urology, urologic oncology and robotic surgery.

Dr. White offers a wide variety of personalized care options. He strives to meet each patient's unique needs and priorities to help them achieve the best outcomes.

Empowering patients through education is his goal. He takes time to explain conditions as well as the pros and cons of all treatment options, so people can make the best choices for their health.

Dr. White has family members who carry the BRCA gene, which predisposes them to aggressive breast, ovarian and prostate cancers. This deeply personal experience motivated him to become a urologic oncologist to help others dealing with urologic cancer. He shares, "I'm passionate about urology because it's incredibly rewarding to help patients through daunting diagnoses and to provide treatments that profoundly enhance their quality of life."

Dr. White has been involved in surgical robotics research since 2008. He has worked with pioneers like Intuitive Surgical (da Vinci robot) and Auris/Johnson & Johnson (Monarch robot). He earned a PhD from the University of Washington (2013) that focused on surgical education for robotic surgery. He explains, "My ultimate goal is to apply my combined expertise as a robotics researcher and urologic surgeon to directly improve the tools we use for patient care."

Drawn to El Camino Health's spirit of innovation and commitment to the community, he says, "My engineering and robotics background made El Camino Health a natural fit. It's a place where I can integrate advanced medical technology into urological care."

Dr. White has won awards for research presented at national meetings and essays written about the history of robotic surgery in urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and Society of Urologic Oncology.

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. White is an entrepreneur. He co-founded a successful med-tech start-up, called C-SATS, Inc, which is now part of Johnson & Johnson. In his free time, Dr. White enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors - camping, hiking and skiing.

Na Chou, NP, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in urology. Na pays attention to the details that impact how her patients feel and influence their care. She explains, "I feel most passionate about my career when I see patients feeling better and getting back to the things they love."

Na was drawn to El Camino Health because of its team of outstanding care providers. She is particularly honored to be working with Frank Lai, MD, the co-medical director of Urology Care.

Na is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Outside of work, Na enjoys dancing and traveling.

Frank Lai, MD, FACS, is a urologist who serves as co-medical director of Urology Care at El Camino Health. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic and endoscopic procedures for a variety of urologic conditions, including complex stone disease, enlarged prostate (BPH) and kidney/bladder/prostate cancers. He has a special interest in the medical management and prevention of stone disease.

When working with patients, Dr. Lai takes time to learn about who they are, what's important to them and how their condition has impacted their life. He educates them about their condition and treatment options and partners with them to make decisions about their care.

A highly trained physician, Dr. Lai studied biophysics at Johns Hopkins University and obtained his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his urology residency at Stanford University and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Lai joined the El Camino Health team in 2003 and previously served as the chief of surgery. He appreciates the collaborative multidisciplinary environment of El Camino Health and the access it provides to cutting-edge technology.

Outside of work, Dr. Lai enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Chicago, and he is still an avid Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan.

Wesley Kong, MD, is a urologist who diagnoses and treats conditions of the urinary tract, including bladder incontinence and kidney stones. While Dr. Kong has a special interest in female pelvic health and reconstructive surgery, he also provides comprehensive urologic care for men.

While working with patients, Dr. Kong is motivated by the opportunity to change their lives for the better. He treats people the way he would want to be treated and partners with patients to make healthcare decisions that best suit their unique needs and preferences.

Outside of work, Dr. Kong enjoys woodworking and furniture making.
