I serve as the Assistant Medical Director of the USF MS Center. The Comprehensive MS Center is a subspecialty program of the USF Department of Neurology providing comprehensive care for patients with central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory diseases. Our MS Research team oversees more than 20 clinical trials for MS treatments in development. We serve as a tertiary referral center for the entire state of Florida. Our clinic focuses on the early diagnosis and chronic treatment of MS and other CNS inflammatory and demyelinating diseases.
USF Health's MS Center of Comprehensive Care is accredited by the National MS Society. It is one of only 4 in Florida and the only one on Florida's west coast. Our Center serves a large MS population of approximately 2,500 patients, coming from central Florida and the Greater Tampa Bay area. Our MS clinic team includes the Medical Director (Dr. Derrick Robertson), a full time ARNP, 1 dedicated LPN, and multiple research coordinators caring for our research patients.
I serve as a key faculty member in the Headache Division at USF and provide support and advanced care of complex headache patients at Tampa General Med-Rehabilitation Headache/Pain and Facial Pain Center, which provides outpatient multi-disciplinary services for the care of Headache patients which include IV Infusion treatment options, botulinum toxin injections, occipital nerve and sphenopalatine ganglion blocks and trigger point injections. Additionally, I provide subspecialty outpatient evaluations at designated Headache Clinics at 2 locations at USF and inpatient subspecialty Headache consultations at Tampa General Hospital.
