Luis Lopez, MD

Dr. Lopez is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He received his medical degree from Fundación Universitaria San Martin in Colombia and completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Dr. Lopez previously practiced internal medicine at various other health systems and consulted in medical risk adjustment and disease management.
Dr. Lopez is fluent in both English and Spanish. He enjoys health promotion and disease prevention and always looks forward to working as a team with his patients to improve their quality of life and impact the community. In his leisure time, Dr. Lopez enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Lopez sees patients 18 years and older.

Julia N. Smith is a clinical nurse who delivers integrative and evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with an inpatient multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, specialists, support staff and registered nurses. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Tampa and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida. Smith is affiliated with the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners and received the CVS Health Foundation Scholarship, McNichols Scholarship and the TGH Nurses Week Scholarship. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Mei Yi Li Worton, APRN
Transplant Hepatology
About
Prior to her current role with TGMG Bayshore, Worton served as a registered nurse in Surgical Services at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital, where she managed care of patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). She also gained experience as a registered ICU travel nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic after beginning her medical career as an ICU registered nurse at Tampa General Hospital.
Worton earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida, where she also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has professional memberships with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. In January 2023, Worton became a member of American Association for the Study of Liver Disease. Worton is fluent in Cantonese and English.

Mohamed Khattab, MD

Dr. Khattab is a pioneer in applying radiosurgery for benign neurologic and psychiatric conditions including treatment-resistant depression, OCD, trigeminal neuralgia, and essential tremor, offering noninvasive treatments that have gained global attention. He also has an academic interest in advanced imaging modalities to better characterize the underlying neural circuitry implicated in these diseases and how circuitry changes as patients respond to treatment.
Dr. Khattab's unique combination of neurosurgical and oncologic expertise has placed him at the forefront of innovative treatment approaches for both malignant and benign conditions applying advancements in radiotherapy treatment delivery.

Richard Allen Jacobson, MD
Sarcoma and Connective Tissue Surgical Oncology
About
Dr. Richard Jacobson is a surgical oncologist specializing in soft tissue and gastrointestinal cancers. He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed residency at the Rush University - John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County Integrated General Surgery program, where he served as administrative chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, where he served as administrative chief fellow.
Throughout his training, Dr. Jacobson has been recognized for his research and patient care. He has numerous publications in academic surgical and oncology journals and has active grant funding for his research. He is building a basic/translational research program investigating the gut microbiome and its impact on cancer surgery, and microbiome-targeted prehabilitation for surgery. Dr. Jacobson remains committed to advancing the field of surgical oncology through innovation and leadership.
